About

Barbara Amalia Carreño Stewart, also known as Micro Barbi. Was born and raised by a British mother and a Venezuelan father in the tropical weather of South America, where she graduated as a Graphic Designer developing a passion for creating. Furthermore she started designing and making hand made one-of-a-kind characters to express emotions and free her creative mind. In 2010 she made Barcelona, Spain her home for four years, to pursue her passion as a Toy-Artist. It was in Barcelona that she got to know many talented people who continue to inspire her every day. While living in Barcelona, she did many creative studies and participated in various solo and collective shows. She was also published in the book, “FULL OF CHARACTERS”. After four years in Spain, she decided to continue her journey as a toy artist in the United States, where she established roots in Philadelphia, PA. In 2014 Micro Barbi enrolled at Drexel University to expand her skills, becoming a Product Designer. Today Barbara keeps moving forward in the design industry, taking advantage of her great taste for design and immense nature for empathizing with the world.
